Your Media, Not Mine

Pretend you are stuck on an island with Bob.  You two started off strangers, but after years of being stuck on the island together, you think of him as a friend.  You believe him to be honest; you can hang on his every word.  Over the years you’ve gotten lazy, and have found it convenient that Bob would go out, explore the island, and come back with a report for you.  You rely on Bob for information.  Bob is your source.

One day, Bob finds a small group of people on the other side of the island.  Soon after, he decides to steal from them.  Bob, knowing you, knows that you wouldn’t agree with this, so in order to hide the part he played in the incident, he tells you that the people are evil; selfish; liars; and more.  Being that Bob is your only source of information, and you trust Bob, you believe the people to be evil; selfish; liars; and so on.  And just like any belief, you act on these beliefs.  Whenever you see one of the people, you hurl insults, feel hate towards them, and more.

What if, on one occasion, Bob realized how your beliefs were affected by the things he said, and how your beliefs dictated your actions, so he decided to intentionally control your actions through beliefs; would he be able to do it?  Now here’s the kicker: Would you know that he was doing it?

There is reality, which is life exactly how it is (only God knows exactly who is who and what is what).  Then, there is what you believe reality to be — your reality.  Your reality — your take on things/beliefs in life — are not exactly like anyone’s in the world.  Your reality/reality to you is what you know/how you believe things to be.  It’s the sum/total of all your beliefs – what you believe.

So, if I could some how control what you believed, or change at will what you believed (your smaller beliefs), couldn’t I manipulate your reality?  In order to do it, I would have to get you to believe me.  But how easy would it be if you already believed me unconditionally?  With little effort at all I could have you believing the rapist to be the one being raped, and the one being raped to be the rapist.

If someone intentionally creates your beliefs, they are programming you. You are their robot, and you may not even know it.  Seeing others like you (robots) having the same beliefs (running on the same information/program) is only confirmation to you that your beliefs are right (true).

Your beliefs determine your actions.  So, if I control your beliefs, couldn’t I control your actions?  Well, what if someone controlled me, and told me what to tell you and what to tell you in order to gain a desired action, wouldn’t that person be controlling you through me?  What if someone controlled the person who controlled me, wouldn’t that person ….?  Could this be happening today in your life right now?  Is there anyone or anything besides family and friends that you trust?  God?  Who else?  What else?  The media!  That television, magazine, newspaper, film, radio, etc.!

Did you ever stop to think that maybe they are lying to you?  “They wouldn’t do that.”  Why not?  Give a reason why they wouldn’t.  No, there’s no law.  No, they don’t have to ….  Give a reason why they wouldn’t.  Aren’t they human beings?  Do you know these people?  Do they know you?  Do you know who they work for – who tells them what to tell you and what not to tell you?  What, they wouldn’t do it because they wouldn’t have a reason to?

Picture this: You own a few hundred television stations, sixty radio stations, twenty newspapers, and many companies.  One of which produces your #1 selling product.  Now, what if this product of yours was found to cause cancer, would you let those that work in your media outlets report this fact?  What if you could get away with it?  What if you could control every single piece of information that is released by your outlets?  What if the government agency in charge of oversight and insuring products like yours were safe was operated by your former employees?  What if your company employed members of this government agency, especially when they made decisions in your favor?  What if the rest of the media owners were your friends, family, had a mutual understanding with you, or were controlled by the same people who controlled you?  These are all things you and your media peers would have to report to the citizens of the country because you all control the media.

With all of this, and you making millions of dollars from this product, would you tell on yourself?  The citizens receive all of their information from you, how would they ever find out?  They would probably never find out!  Anyone who tried to inform them, you could simple label that person a crazed or conspiracy theorist, and then laugh about the allegation.  The citizens believe your every word, and they will believe this also.  So, wouldn’t you have a reason to lie?  Couldn’t you lie?  Couldn’t you lie and get away with it for many years?  So, would someone else who was in this position, and didn’t even know you, lie to you?  So, the media would definitely lie to you!

Hardly anyone in this country knows that the circumstances described in the previous paragraphs are current circumstances in this country.  The media is constantly manipulating any and all truth that would harm their sister companies, themselves, friends in government, or the companies of their advertisers.  This is every single day!  Just think of how many lies you’ve been told, and how much truth you’ve not been told (both are deceit).

Did you know that virtually your entire media – television, newspapers, magazines, radio stations, internet sites, etc. — are owned by  six corporations.  In a business such as this, each person does what their superior tells them to do.  This means that a demand from the head of the corporation will trickle down throughout hundreds of media outlets.  So, what the heads of these corporations want you to know, you’ll know; and what they don’t want you to know, you won’t (but only because you go to their outlets for information).

You may even think you’re making a wise decision by switching networks or newspapers; not realizing it’s still under the same person’s control.  Now, what if there was a group of billionaires who owned large amounts of stocks, where on the board of directors, or controlled the board of directors in just these six corporations, couldn’t they dictate what the whole country heard, saw, and read from the media?  How would you know if any of this was going on?  You wouldn’t.

“The Mainstream Media” is comprised of the media outlets who dominate TV, radio, and print.  They are owned by huge companies and receive most of their funds by allowing other companies to advertise through their outlet.  They have to maintain their profits in order to satisfy their stockholders, so they’re purpose in profit.  All of this means that they are responsible to many others before they are responsible to you.

“Independent Media” is comprised of the outcasts.  This is why they are underground.  They dispense information where they can (where the dominant do not control), and this is usually the internet.  These media outlets rely mostly on donations to keep up-and-running.  This means they don’t have to answer to anyone.  This means they can actually tell you about an unjust act a corporation or government has done against you.

This video is just a little over ten minutes, and it is a prime, detailed example of what you’ve just read: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agh2Ubunxu4
This is a Must See!  WARNING, this withheld information may send you over the edge.

Take the time to watch the following documentary also (Documentaries are where you’ll usually find the information leftover by the mainstream media, the truth.).  In this documentary, people who’ve worked for the major media outlets explain how they’re operated — the head boss/CEO tells the reporters, writers, editors, etc. what to say and show, and what not to say or show.  These are people who worked there!

“If you give a man the correct information for seven years, he may believe the incorrect information on the first day of the eighth year when it is necessary, from your point of view, that he should do so. Your first job is to build the credibility and the authenticity of your propaganda, and persuade the enemy to trust you although you are his enemy.”
— A Psychological Warfare Casebook Operations Research Office, Johns Hopkins University Baltimore (1958)

“Our job is to give people not what they want, but what we decide they ought to have.”
— Richard Salent, Former President of CBS News

“The whole point of brainwashing, is that those being brainwashed don’t know it.”  — Graham  Haley

“There is no such thing in America as an independent press, unless it is in the small towns. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write his honest opinions, and if you did you know before hand that they would never appear in print…The business of the NY journalist is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his race and his country for his daily bread. You know this and I know it, and what folly is this to be toasting an “Independent Press”. We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping-jacks; they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.”  — John Swinton

“Trying to determine what is going on in the world by reading newspapers is like trying to tell the time by watching the second hand of a clock.”  — Ben Hecht

“Many people would sooner die than think; in fact, they do so.”  — Bertrand Russell

“How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think.”  — Adolph Hitler

“There’s a whole journalistic-industrial complex dedicated to keeping newsprint, TV screens and radio waves clean of destabilizing scoops damaging to corporations or the state.” — Alexander Cockburn, journalist

“The owners of the Washington Post long ago acknowledged that the Post is the government’s voice to the people. In 1981, Katherine Graham, who owns the Post and Newsweek announced that her editors would “cooperate with the national security interests.” National security in this context means ‘CIA.'”  — John Stockwell, former CIA official and author

“The news and truth are not the same thing.”  — Walter Lippmann, American journalist

“If those in charge of our society – politicians, corporate executives, and owners of press and television – can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves.”  — Howard Zinn

“If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing it.”  — Edward  Bernays, America’s No. 1 Publicist in the 1920’s

“Private capitalists inevitably control, directly or indirectly, the main sources of information. It is thus extremely difficult, and indeed in most cases quite impossible, for the individual citizen to come to objective conclusions and to make intelligent use of his political rights.”  — Albert Einstein

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Times Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years.  It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years.  But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government.  The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”  –- David Rockefeller at a meeting of the Council on Foreign Relations

“The mechanisms of indoctrination that have evolved in the United States are entirely different from those that operate in the totalitarian societies of the world. Force is rarely used to ensure obedience, though it is well to remember that resort to direct force is not excluded. Recent revelations of the activities of the FBI in disruption and harassment of groups working for social change or even civil rights, the provocation of arson and bombings, incitement of gang warfare, support and direction for a secret terrorist army, and even in one case direct complicity in political assassination, simply remind us of the long and ugly history of the Bureau, which regularly functions as a national political police, enforcing political conformity and obedience. Nevertheless, the primary mechanism employed is not direct force, but rather ‘the engineering of consent,’ which is achieved through the domination of the flow of information and the means for expressing opinion or analysis. The system has been effective, and these successes too must be understood if one hopes to comprehend the nature of contemporary American society and its political processes.”  — Noam Chomsky

“The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media.”  — William Colby, former director of the CIA
(Here is essentially the same thing being said under oath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLVnjD_7KCw)

“Someday, the news media may get around to re-examining the assumption that killing foreigners in their own country is the best patriotic credential imaginable. A front-page New York Times story the other day referred to Sen. John McCain as “the most popular national political figure in the country.” McCain built his career in politics while news accounts routinely described him as a “war hero,” with frequent references to the captivity and torture that he withstood for years after a North Vietnamese missile brought him down from a plane he was piloting over Hanoi. Media outlets rarely put a fine point on the fact that McCain had been dropping bombs on civilians.”  — Norman Solomon

You still don’t think you’re being played like a harp (or H.A.A.R.P., for those who understand)?  Do you remember the recent earthquake in Haiti?  Try to recall all that you saw on the mainstream media.  Now, watch or read these news reports.  You’ll see just how badly those people were lying to you: http://www.democracynow.org/2010/1/22/t_trembl_journey_to_the_epicenter

You still don’t believe the mainstream media is controlled?  Have you ever seen this footage? : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=we2eucWXqjg&feature

You still don’t believe?  I’m sure you remember the Janet Jackson Super Bowl incident, right?  Well, some time after the incident occurred, and the whole country, including the government, was in an uproar, I just happened to turn to one of those celebrity magazine shows on TV.  To this day, I can’t recall the name of it, or find info on the internet about it, but it actually proved Janet told the truth.  They showed video footage of her during a rehearsal of the Super Bowl performance.

This video confirmed her statement that the ripping off of the clothing was adding at the last minute.  This TV show also played video footage caught by someone who was very close to the stage.  This footage showed what happened immediately after the incident.  It shows Janet’s facial expression — pure shock and horror.  It shows her clinch her breast and run away from the stage almost in tears.  Her body’s reaction combined with her facial expression said “accident.”

Now, why wasn’t this shown to the nation?  After calling her a liar ….  After the FCC getting involved ….  After the media made it a national debate …. You think they don’t withhold damaging truth?  You think they don’t make decisions about what to show and what not to show based on factors unknown to you?  And this is just a short course on the mainstream media.

A Personal Message To Those Of The Mainstream Media Who Are Guilty

The following applies to you, true or false? : “My job is to convince people of other people’s lies.”  What kind of a garbage-human-being is that!  That’s your job?  How many lives have been taken because of you?  How many lands have been taken because of you?  How many lies have been placed in the world because of you?  How many reputations have been ruined because of you?  I used to think there was no greater liar among man than the US government, until I found out about you.  You multiply and amplify their lies, then tell those lies to billions of people.  You do something so much worst with what they give you, it’s hard to even be angry at them!
